Game Overview
Pirate Gambit is a head-to-head puzzle duel where both players fight over the same board. Treasures spawn each turn on a shared 9×9 grid. You reposition one piece per turn, aiming to line up five or more matching treasures to clear them and earn gold, while your opponent does the same on the very same space.
This is not solitaire with a scoreboard. It’s a tug-of-war. Your setup can become their opportunity. Their defensive clear can open your best line. You’re constantly balancing immediate gold, board control, and denying future value.
Play anywhere: mobile, web, desktop. Free-to-play with no pay-to-win. Captains, crew powers, and gameplay advantages are earned through play. Matches run 5–10 minutes, designed for quick, high-pressure duels.
Step 1 : Treasures Spawn
Each turn, new treasures appear on the shared board. Some belong to you, some to your opponent, some are neutral. The board state is the battlefield.
Step 2 : Move One Treasure
On your turn, drag a treasure to an empty cell. Movement requires a clear path, no jumping. Positioning is the name of the game.
Step 3 : Align and Clear
Create a line of five or more matching treasures in any direction to clear them and earn gold. Gold fuels your crew powers.
Step 4 : Win Through Pressure
Each time you clear treasures pressure rises for your opponent. Let your pressure meter fill and you lose. Keep clearing, manage space, and push your opponent into a dead board.
Shared Board Tug-of-War
Both players place and move treasures on the same 9×9 grid. Every move changes the game for both sides.
